We just celebrated the official unveiling of legendary artist Robert Vargas’ “Samurai of the Diamond” mural at the DoubleTree By Hilton Torrance-South Bay!


The crowd was packed to the brim. So many people came out to witness this beautiful moment and see Robert Vargas’ work in person.


A Masterpiece Unveiled


This massive freehand masterpiece honors Dodgers stars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki. It serves as a powerful cultural bridge, celebrating Japanese heritage, Dodgers pride, and Torrance’s strong friendship with Japan.


We are so grateful he chose Torrance for this landmark piece. It’s now a stunning 12-story artwork that brings our community together.


Community Support


Hats off to Mayor George Chen, Torrance City Mayor and City of Torrance for their incredible support. They presented Robert with the 'Key to the City' and named him an honorary 'Cultural Ambassador'!
