What an unforgettable morning!

We just celebrated the official unveiling of legendary artist Robert Vargas ’ “Samurai of the Diamond” mural at the DoubleTree By Hilton Torrance-South Bay !

The crowd was essentially at max capacity — so many people came out to witness this beautiful moment and see Robert Vargas’ work in person.

This massive freehand masterpiece honors Dodgers stars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki — a powerful cultural bridge celebrating Japanese heritage, Dodgers pride, and Torrance’s strong friendship with Japan.

We are so grateful he chose Torrance for this landmark piece — it’s now a completed 12-story masterpiece that brings our community together.

Hats off to Mayor George Chen Torrance City Mayor and City of Torrance for their incredible support — including presenting Robert with the 'Key to the City' and naming him an honorary 'Cultural Ambassador'!
